I am a member of Artisan/jewelry designers Ltd. and couple days ago I received a message with a very kind compliment of my jewelry from a very talented jewelry artist Michelle York.
"I am in awe of your workmanship and the level of creativity! You are a master of your craft. .I appreciate so much what you are doing. Truly a labor of love, that is obvious."
I owe very special thanks for her kind remarks. It is very nice for a person of talent to appreciate your work. I was interested to learn that Michelle started to design jewelry 25 years ago after she received the of tools from her father. She has even featured some of her pieces on the big screen. Thank you again for making my day,

I've been working on theese earrings in which I was inspired by Japanese designer Yumi Katsura's a gold thread woven wedding dress..I felt to compliment this beautifuly designed wedding dress with my handmade lace earrings. I chose cinnamon and gold colors to gracefully complete this picture. I have found myself working extremely diligent on theese earrings. I am spending a lot of time to make sure that the finish is absolutely flawless.
I should be able to finish the earrings in a week

Just the few days ago I oredered very interesting threads. This threads are used in ancient Egypt, Iron Age Northern Europe and Zhou Dynasty China. Examples of surviving Chinese chain stitch embroidery worked in silk thread have been dated to the Warring States period (5th-3rd century BC)
I will feature theese threads in my handmade lace jewelry design as theese threads have been used for centuries to embroider beautiful artwork. My reason for using Japanese gold thread it keeps its luster for generations. Unlike %2 gold thread which will tarnish overtime. This is why I leave the choice of threads to my clients discreation for their custom order.
I also like to mention the piece I just finished it is a turquoise colored lace design in which I fused an abstract element of technique which is wire wrap. This is a lovely combination of vintage and contemporary.
