Gold Crochet Lace Pendant with Real Gold Coated Japanese Embroidery Thread-Drusy Quartz-Fuchsia Pink-OOAK

Source: etsy.com via Sukran on Pinterest

I crocheted druzy quartz stone with 2% real gold coated japanese kimono embroidery thread which is used in the centuries.
Druzy quartz is a thin layer of quartz crystals covering the surface of a host stone. One good example of Druzy is the crystals filled inside the cavity of a geode. Druzy Quarts is said to aid in balancing and increasing energy. Since ages it has been used to diagnose disease and is believed to enhance natural extrasensory perception abilities.
I am working on new designs hopefully I'll be able to list in couple days..
Have a great, relax Sunday to start a positive week...

History of Beauty

The rise of the throne of Quenn Victoria in 1837 marked the decline of the use of cosmetics. The reason why The victorian era was a dominated by a strict model and religious values, modesty and sexual restraint.. A light color complexion was a sign of nobility in the Victorian era. If woman was not spending hours working outside then they were considered of to be a higher class. That's why it was during this time that women started using Zinc Oxide, a white mineral powder, which was safer but still achieved the same effect in lightning the skin. However, in line with the decrease of the use of cosmetics, ladies would also preserve their skin pale by avoiding the sun and fresh air, using parasols when outdoors to protect their skin from the sun rays and even by drinking vinegar. A white and translucent complexion was so desired that some women would even paint some very fine blue lines on their skin to make it look more translucent, as the veins underneath were showing.

Makeup may not have been very used, but DIY skincare recipes made at home with ingredients found in the kitchen were still very popular. Creams were made using mostly natural ingredients. Tonics were mixtures of water and scents of roses, lilies or violets, while creams were made with waxes, almond oil and scents.

My source of this information was from Beautiful with brains. I also remember from my school years how valuable was for women to have very light skin even centuries in the past before Victorian era..Contrary to do this old fashion statement it is now desirable and showing people of money who have dark tanned skin..Time changes cultural views I guess so...
I have a recent experience at Posh (The Grand Spa) with a certified esthetician Rita Claudia Schrager and her great job with my facial skin care...I strongly suggest to visit her if you are in Tampa to learn so much about taking care of your skin...
Happy Sunday,

Silver Lace Earrings-Donerella

My inspiration of byzantine art photography which has black, silver, gray and pink colors dramatically mixed each other and set as a background with my earrings.
Byzantine Art was the name given to the style of art used in very early Middle Ages Art. This period was also known as the Dark Ages ( 410 AD - 1066 AD ). The Dark Ages were followed by the Medieval era of the Middle Ages (1066 - 1485) and changes in Middle Ages Art which saw the emergence of the early Renaissance Art.
The capitol of the Roman Empire was Byzantium, renamed Constantinople which is Istanbul in today.
I crocheted these dark colors combination with some shimmering light colors to appreciate the full extent of the changes in Middle Ages with my addition Donerella to adopt today.

Wedding Gold Lace Cuff Bracelet and Bridal Silver Lace Brooch

Whenever I need to get dress to go out for any event I always feel my wrist needs a large piece to use instead of watch. I always loved the large pieces as bracelet or rings. So my fall/winter of 2011 collection is created with premium grade taffeta's beside my hand laced designs..Taffeta means twisted woven It is considered to be a "high end" fabric. I like its starched typed look to replace watch band on wrist.
I also applied the same look for wedding lace jewelry designs..It looks so rich and attractive..
Here is my recent wedding gold lace cuff bracelet which is in my Etsy shop now.

I also sent my tatting silver lace brooch to Alaska last week for the lovely bride who has a wedding in September..I wish her many many happy years.

Romantic Dry Roses

Dry roses with the beautiful handmade lace table cloth by me in this photo

I love to have roses in my home and studio to create full of positive energy with romantic beautiful color combinations. I prefer the colors depend my mood but I can say yellow, white and dark pink roses are my favorites. I also like to dry them to create dramatic vintage look in my environment that makes me feel the endless beauty.
Here is my way to dry roses:
Look for roses that are in full bloom but have not yet started to fade.
Tie them from the bottom and hang on something so they can dry upside down with the same beautiful shape.

I found this cute beautiful garden photo from wehkamp magazine with dry roses..I absolutely want to try to keep them on my wall with the same way..And drinking hot turkish tea with a nice breakfast in the early morning next to it..
My etsy shop has some beautiful flower inspired designs and I put my words into my description of this hand crocheted silver lace brooch Carnation design to express my feeling

If you give me a fresh carnation
Pink dancing petals with white touches
I'll add my happiness
with a shimmering rhinestone
white freshwater pearls and rose quartz
to draw my dream
Honey suckle pink and silver vintage seed beads will run
all over on the edges of carnation skirt
And then
I will add my carnation
on my colar
to save your gift
till forever

Here is my words for my butterfly bracelet

Where do you fly

my dreams

one day for me
one long life for you

WIDE LEGS, BELL-BOTTOMS and PALAZZO PANTS

Photo courtesy of Organic by John Patrick SS11

We remember wide legs,bell-bottoms pants from 1970's as hippie style. When Cher and Sonny Bono started to keep wearing these paints in their Tv shows, the trend took over all the world and everybody was in this fashion..The biggest concern how wide the legs were...Even there was a saying "when you turn the corner your legs should turn 10 minutes after you"
Now, it is very popular in Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes's wardrobe not just for spring of 2011, with beautiful materials for fall-winter of 2011 as well..

Christian Dior, Derek Lam, Alice+Olivia, Armani Collezioni, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Missoni, YSL and Valentino have great jean wide legs, bell bottoms jean paints. Elie Tahari,Marc Jacobs and Sienna Miller's Twenty 8 by Twelve have these wide legs paints with fabric ...

I always loved to wear wide legs, bell bottoms palazzo paints as well especially when I was younger:) It is good to know this fashion came back but not for everybody..It is very risky to have these paints unless you have long legs and light weight...
These type of paints are great with a slim-fitting top to balance out the volume on the bottom half. A soft, billowing blouse can also work well but is best broken up with a waist-cinching belt, heel shoes to seem taller or espadrilles, wide belts to camouflage (if it is necessary) some fat around the belly, and a big floppy hat to look more stylish...
I can also suggest my recent cuff design with taffeta from Fall-winter collection of 2011

I've been watching some fashion shows recently and getting excited to see this great look just like a swan..
I also like to remind you after 40 years today we are going to have vintage paints to share same fashion with our children so don't give them up..

Stay stylish,
Sukran Kirtis

Children needs food in Africa

Empathy is valued currency. It is great to create bonds of trust, to share the feeling or thinking. And even it may be so right to say it is being human. When we are in our shoes trying to understand others situation is happiness and success for some people. Happy and successful people comes together to create big families or large successful companies. Career starts to raise happy children who knows happiness is growing together without giving any damage to others or holding hands to walk together for peace on our earth. Large brand name companies spread their words, names through their company personalities to create honest and trustworthy expressions on public to show all these effort is to do something for people.
Now, Africa is hungary...Children dies...
Almost a $3.00 is enough for one person's daily food and $110.00 is enough to help a family with 5 members for their monthly food expenses.
Turkish Red Crescent Society started to collect money for Africa in Turkey (Turkiye) This is our world to save for our children where ever we are. This is personal happiness and success to do something for others.
We all need to remember this drama is in Africa today but we don't know where is gonna be tomorrow?
